The plan here is to create a colour illustration with photoshop. It will be a little while before i get time to do the rendering, so for now here's the sketch I'm working from. It's based on an earlier design I did for a competition.
This was done for a website but was never used in the end. There's an ambulance and firetruck too, if I can dig them up I'll post them because I think they turned out nice.
This was just done recently for Adelaide band Lady Strangelove. This will be the lettering for their new EP "Freakquencies". Once it's official I'll post the full cover that was made by Nima Nabili, it looks great
A couple of years ago I put in two entries for a Triple J design competition, "Smash the Drum" ie mess with their logo. I really like the bug one but I can't stand the fact that I messed the perspective up so badly on the water tower picture. Fortunately Robbie Buck and the judges at Triple J didn't seem to mind (or notice) and I won the competition with the water tower. I still like the bug better.
Here is some development work that I did for an animation project of mine quite a few years ago. It never really crystallized and I shelved all this stuff for ages. Looking back at it now, I dunno, seems like it was still worthwhile. These are just character studies and some test backgrounds. I did a full 60 page storyboard but I'm afraid to dig it up. Maybe I'll post something from that too..
